Children's Privacy Policy
This policy is prepared in compliance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR-K, and describes how YaYaExplore handles personal information of children under 13.
1. Parental Consent
· In compliance with COPPA, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. A parent or guardian must read and accept this policy on the registration screen before a child may use the service.
· The Profile section is protected by a parental lock (360° rotation verification) to prevent children from independently changing account settings or initiating purchases.
2. Data Minimisation
· We collect only a child's nickname, age range (used to personalise story difficulty), and avatar emoji.
· We do not collect a child's real name, ID number, home address, school, or facial biometrics.
· We do not create behavioural profiles of children and do not serve commercial advertising based on children's activity.
3. Camera & Voice
· Camera: the camera is enabled only within a session where a guardian has given initial consent. The original photo is deleted immediately after identification.
· Voice cloning: only adult family members' voices are recorded as a storytelling voice tone. Children's voices are not recorded.
4. Data Security
· All data is transmitted via HTTPS and stored on cloud infrastructure that meets applicable security standards.
· Voice print files are encrypted at rest and are accessible only by the guardian's account.
5. Parental Rights
· Review, correct, or delete any information about your child at any time.
· Withdraw any permission you have granted (e.g. disable voice cloning or the AI Art Studio).
· When you delete your account, all children's data will be permanently erased within 30 days.
6. Complaints & Remedies
If you believe we have handled your child's information inappropriately, please email support@yayaexplore.com and we will respond within 3 business days.
You may also file a complaint with your local data protection authority or child protection agency.
